ALL RELIGION DURGA PUJA INAUGURATED AT GAIRKATA TODAY

Webdesk, TNI Gairkata, 6th October, 2016: Today the Gairkata School Road Sarbojonin Durgotsav was inaugurated with the presence of all religious personnel and preaching i.e. Geeta, Quran, Bible the religious scriptures of Rava tribes etc. The puja was inaugurated by the forest minister Mr. Binoy Krishna Barman. Apart from him the Minister of Tribal Development Mr. James Kujur, MP of Jalpaiguri Mr. Bijay Chandra Barman, MP of Alipuduar Mr. Dasarath Tirkey, MLA of Dhupguri Smt. Mitali Roy, MLA of Falakata Mr. Anil Adhikary, the Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad Chairman Smt. Noor Jahan Begam the DFO of Jalpaiguri Mr. Bidyut Sarkar and others.
All religious preachers gave the message of peace from their own religious texts. The Forest Minister Mr. Barman said that it’s a new experience to witness such a festival of Durga Puja celebrated by every religion together. The president of the Puja Committee Smt. Sima Choudhury said that it’s a puja which truly reflects the true spirit of religious unity of India. Every year its celebrated with the same ambiance and fervor and this time is also no exception.
